"So this is the new year
And I have no resolutions
For self assigned penance
For problems with easy solutions" Death Cab for Cutie
With so much experience in life at the end of year 2009, I have no desire to review the ill in me and looking forward to changing what needs not be changed but part of a "whole" includes well and in error. I have done my prayers, upheld His good advise, and have practised my New Year everyday like the way I have practised Christmas everyday. Striving for perfection on a daily basis never seemed so sweet. Burdening oneself with a big load of burden to unload also known as the resolutions list is a humour that is always amusing at when one cannot attain it.
Lack of confidence is a sin so I move on to the New Year with much gusto and confidence not starting it with regrets and a need to forget starting with my very own list of poor quality. I can think about that later on maybe towards Lent.
Initially for travels around the world and the U.S.A. Quotation in title from the film Dangerous Liaisons.

"Winter is Upon Us"
This morning the temperature dipped to zero degrees Celsius. While I wore appropriate clothing I forgot my accessories: gloves and head wear.
I survive nowadays tho after 6 years in the U.S. There was a time I did not drive. I always took the train when I was just starting out here in New York. I work every Sunday in Sleepy Hollow and while I come off at 2000H the train I could catch is the 2100H. Those glass encasements that looks like aquariums on the Metro-North train stations platforms with its warming devices helped me to wait for my scheduled ride in frigid conditions. The wait was not long most especially in the spring and fall but could be really taxing on extreme summer and winter temperatures . Eventually, I get home safe and sound all bundled up in the wintertime in thermal underwear, jeans sweaters, & winter jackets.

Amazon Kindle for iPhone
Today I tried out my favorite book Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea." I love this book and is my all time favorite. This is one book I read without the stress of reading it as a requirement for school. I couldn't quite recall if it was actually a required summer read. This book held me and brought me to senses, all five of them, to life -- I felt I was actually there with the protagonist. The Kindle app seem to have brought the whole book onto my iPhone screen and it is a pleasurable convenience not having to get an actual Kindle that I have seen dominate the Metro-North trains in rides from New York City to Fleetwood in Mount Vernon, NY.
